Its name comes from its dark appearance, when seen from a distance. Its vegetation as well as its varied climate, from oceanic to Mediterranean, underpin its particularity. This country will deliver to you its secret forests, its numerous waterfalls and panoramas, its lakes, but also the sites marked by history and by the know-how of yesteryear.

"Cocagne Country” is characterized by gently undulating landscapes and its rich historical past can be found in medieval villages, dovecotes, Lauragais farms or the many castles that bear witness to the “Pastel epic”. It is the cultivation of this plant at the origin of the famous "pastel blue" which gives the name of this Land of Plenty. It has become the symbol of abundance, carefree and easy living. This country is truly alive and bears witness to a happy marriage between authenticity and modernity.
